but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 · WEBIsaiah speaks hope to weary people by directing their attention to the everlasting God. Human strength has limits, but the Lord does not grow weary. Those who wait on Him are invited to depend on the strength He supplies.
We do not have to arrive before God already strong. We can bring Him the exhaustion we have been trying to conceal and acknowledge our need without shame. Dependence begins where we stop pretending that our own resources are enough.
The images of rising, running and walking remind us that strength is needed for different demands. Some days require courage for a new beginning. Others call for sustained effort or the quiet perseverance of ordinary faithfulness. God’s care reaches into those daily needs, not only the moments that appear remarkable.
Today, bring your weariness to Him specifically. Ask for renewed strength and receive the practical means of care available to you. This promise does not require you to deny fatigue or neglect health. It calls your hope back to the One who sustains His people. Let dependence on Him replace the pressure to carry this season through your own strength alone.
My hope is in the Lord, and I depend on the strength He supplies. I do not have to conceal my weariness or carry this season alone. I receive grace for today’s demands and wisdom to welcome the care and support I need.
Father, I bring You the places where my strength has been worn down. Renew my hope and sustain me through today’s responsibilities. Help me receive rest and practical care without shame. Keep my heart dependent on You, and give me grace for both demanding moments and ordinary faithfulness.
Amen.
