He raises the bowed down

The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.

Psalm 145:14 · WEB
Today’s word

Some burdens bend us gradually. Responsibility, grief and disappointment accumulate until our posture changes and weariness feels normal. Psalm 145 reveals God as the One who notices both the falling and the bowed down. He does not overlook the weight; He raises those who turn toward Him.

Being bowed down can look like weariness, grief, disappointment or the pressure of responsibilities carried too long without relief. God does not shame us for reaching our limit. He draws near with compassion and invites us to receive His support.

The lifting is often gradual. It can include rest, honest conversation, changed expectations and the courage to release what God has not commissioned us to carry. We are not more faithful because we remain crushed beneath avoidable weight.

Ask God to show you what has bowed your heart. Bring Him the burden without minimizing it, and let His presence restore your posture. The One who raises the bowed down renews courage, reorders responsibility and teaches us to live from grace rather than beneath crushing weight.

I declare

The Lord upholds me and raises me when I am bowed down. I receive His compassion and release every weight He has not asked me to carry.

Prayer

Father, You see the weight I have carried. Show me what belongs in Your hands and what You are asking me to address. Lift my heart, restore my strength and help me receive support without shame. Teach me to walk upright under Your grace. Renew my joy as I receive Your restoring strength.

Amen.
