“I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name.

Revelation 3:8 · WEB
Today’s word

The church in Philadelphia was described as having little strength, yet its faithfulness was seen by Christ. The open door He set before them did not depend on their ability to make themselves impressive. Their confidence belonged in the One who spoke to them.

When a new opportunity appears, our limitations can become the first thing we notice. We list what we lack and begin to assume that God could not use us until every weakness has been resolved. Faithfulness, however, does not require the absence of need.

An available opportunity is not automatically an assignment from God. We still seek discernment, examine the direction through Scripture and welcome sound counsel. Where obedience is clear, we can move with humility, acknowledging our limitations while depending on His grace.

Today, bring the opportunity and your concerns before Him together. Ask what preparation is needed and what fear you must refuse to let govern you. Do not wait to become self-sufficient before responding. The Lord who sees quiet faithfulness is able to sustain you in the work He entrusts to you. Let dependence on Him accompany the step, rather than postponing it until you feel complete.

I declare

I receive discernment to recognize the opportunities God is entrusting to me. My limitations do not require me to withdraw from clear obedience. I prepare faithfully, remain teachable and depend on His grace as I respond.

Prayer

Father, help me discern whether this opportunity is one You are leading me into. Show me the preparation I need and the fear I must surrender. Where obedience is clear, give me courage to respond. Keep me humble and dependent on Your grace rather than waiting to feel self-sufficient.

Amen.
