I will strengthen you

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10 · WEB
Today’s word

Fear tells us that everything depends on our ability to remain composed. We become afraid of being afraid and tired of needing strength again. Through Isaiah, God speaks into that pressure with the assurance of His presence. Courage grows when our attention shifts from our limitations to the God who holds us.

Fear often tells us that everything depends on our ability to remain composed. We become afraid of being afraid, tired of needing help or ashamed that a familiar struggle still affects us. God does not wait for us to become self-sufficient before offering strength. He meets us in our need.

Receiving God’s help includes slowing down, asking someone to stand with us or changing an environment that repeatedly weakens us. These choices are not evidence that faith has failed. They can be ways of cooperating with the help God provides. Today, release the pressure to appear stronger than you are. Name the area in which you need support, and receive God’s promise as an invitation to depend on Him. His hand is able to uphold you while you take the next wise step.

I declare

God is with me, strengthens me and upholds me. I refuse the pressure to appear self-sufficient, and I receive the spiritual and practical help He provides.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being present with me. Strengthen the place where I feel weak and quiet the fear that tells me I am alone. Help me recognize and receive the support You provide. Uphold me as I take the next wise and obedient step in freedom.

Amen.
