Do not grow weary

Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.

Galatians 6:9 · WEB
Today’s word

Faithful work becomes difficult when the seed remains hidden and the harvest feels delayed. Paul speaks to that weary middle, where obedience has continued but results are not yet visible. He calls us to persevere without forcing the season that belongs to God.

Weariness is information. It tells us that we need rest, help, clearer boundaries or renewed purpose. Continuing well is different from continuing without limits. A farmer works faithfully, but she also respects seasons she cannot control.

The harvest belongs to God. We are responsible for obedient sowing, not for forcing growth. When visible results are slow, we can become tempted to abandon good work or use unhealthy methods to make progress appear faster.

Ask God whether your weariness calls for rest, adjustment or renewed perseverance. Then respond honestly. Do not despise the seed because it has not yet become a harvest. Keep doing the good God has actually given you to do, and trust Him with the season of fruit. Faithfulness in hidden seasons still honors God.

I declare

I remain faithful to the good God has entrusted to me. I receive wisdom for rest and perseverance, and I trust Him with the harvest.

Prayer

Father, meet me in the weariness of work whose fruit I cannot yet see. Show me where I need rest, support or renewed perseverance. Keep me from forcing outcomes. Strengthen me to sow faithfully and trust the harvest to Your timing. Renew my joy in doing good and keep my hands faithful in this season.

Amen.
